Laur @ 11:40 PM

listening to nothing

she never knows what to say
for fear her words will get in the way-
don't let me ruin your day,
just show me how to play.

i've never made anyone cry,
so teach me how to lie.

a heart is only fifty cent
If your thoughts will not repent;
shall my money be well-spent?

i wrote something for you from me;
it wreaked of love and poetry.

listening to nothing

I wish it took more to make me cry,
Than purely wondering to the point of guessing which leads to assuming
Why things are the way they are.

listening to nothing

I wonder what it's like to break somebody's heart,
A metaphor with a rose gone completely wrong when
The one you gave her whithers.
What is it like to know you've made someone cry?
How does it feel to imagine them,
Seeing the tears run down their cheeks and
Making little trails of dampness on their pillow or
Their shirt sleeve?
I wonder about the moment,
Or series of moments;
Call, or don't call?
But most of all I wonder:
When you know you make her suffer,
Don't you suffer, too?
